Meet Kateri

Kateri Pomeroy joined our Artist Collective in May 2014. She is from Denver, CO and was homeless in Nashville for 4 years. While in our program, Kateri finally secured section 8 housing in April 2015 with the help of Open Table Nashville. Kateri is a returning artist from our 2014 inaugural program. She has been making art since she was 5 years old. She remembers sitting on the floor with her mother and coloring in coloring books. Her favorite mediums are dry & oil pastel and acrylic. She is known for her bold and colorful abstract art pieces.  Her passion for creating abstract visual art has grown over the years and she now considers it a spiritual experience. Kateri has live-painted at many local events around town including the Arts & Business Council’s Summer Soiree fundraiser and West End United Methodist Church’s Pilgrimage Journey event.

Personal Goal: To create beautiful art for the public to ponder, enjoy, and share with others.
